Summer Of Love
For the months of June-August, COTC will be collecting items for Church World Service (CWS) Disaster Kits.
In our April newsletter, we announced that COTC accepted being a disaster relief kit distribution depot for CWS! CWS sends in teams armed with disaster relief kits to aid those who have lost everything to be able to have the ability to clean their bodies after a horrific event. In fact, we already helped with this need during CROP Walk 2025: Remember those gallon sized bags that we filled with a washcloth, toothbrush, soap, comb, etc? Well, those are disaster relief hygiene kits!
Now is the time to start stocking our depot!
Boxes will be available to collect supplies for the next three months of June-July-August.
Please complete a MISSION SLIP after you turn in your donations!
Please help us to collect a variety of the following supplies:
CWS Hygiene Kit
- Washcloths
- Fingernail/toenail clippers
- Bath bar soap
- Toothbrushes
- Travel sized deodorant
- Travel lotion (fragrance free)
- Travel shampoo
- Travel toothpaste
- Sturdy wide toothed combs
CWS Period Packs
- Two-2oz bottles of hand sanitizer
- 4 gallon bathroom trash bags (whole box)
- Travel pack of antibacterial wipes
- Flushable wipes (unscented)
- Regular absorbency tampons (whole box)
- Super absorbency tampons (whole box)
- Sanitary pads (whole box—unscented)
- Bath bar soap (avoid Ivory or Jergens)
- Laundry sheets (whole box—fragrance free)
There will be a special after worship packing party Sunday, September 13!
