Through our children’s / youth Christian education programs we seek to provide times and places where students receive the quality Biblical instruction and loving encouragement needed to help them learn about and love God, connect with others and be motivated and equipped to serve in Jesus’ name.

ON SUNDAY MORNINGS, classes for 2 year olds through adults are held concurrent with the 10:30 worship service. Childcare is provided for those under 2.

 

KIDS OF THE KINGDOM is the children’s choir at Church of the Cross. They meet every Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:30 pm. for rehearsal and recreation. This is open to any children in grades 1 – 6.

K.F.C. (KIDS FOR CHRIST) During the 9:00 service, those age 3 – 3rd grade leave worship after the Children’s Message to explore different aspects of the Christian faith,… the whos, wheres, whats, whens, and whys of being a Christian, to help take away some of the confusions that become easy to understand for an adult.  Supported by music, dancing, crafts, mission outreach, movies, play time, and food… our little ones share the joy of expressing God’s love inside them.

C.I.A. (CHRISTIANS IN ACTION)Our 5th & 6th graders meet on Wed. nights (6:30 -8:00) to develop a sense of who they are and who God is in their lives. They are defined by digging for answers in the Bible, serving in local missions, building community while defining self, overnight retreats, and fun activities. Boundaries are stretched to have our agents seek for answers themselves rather than having it all provided for them.

Each day, kids participate in small groups, called Crews, and discover what it means to trust God! Not only will they experience amazing Bible adventures but they’ll also watch for God in everyday life through something called God Sightings™. You and your kids will discover that God is active in our lives and that his fingerprints are everywhere!

Sky is filled with incredible Bible-learning experiences.  Kids will see, hear, touch, and even taste! All-new Imagination Station activities will give kids high-flyin’, hands-on fun! Plus, team-building games, cool Bible songs, and tasty treats keep everyone on the move. The excitement is soaring, so get ready to take off!

This year, three Churches combine to invite family, friends, and guests to assemble on the campus of…     Weis Library United Methodist Church located at 6020 Heidler Road, just down the hill from Church of the Cross and only 7.2 miles as a crow flys, from Westminster Presbyterian Church              (if you decide to take a more convential means of transportation, just short of 8 miles to walk or ride.)

Registration is $5 per child, maximum of $20 per family.
